Water Lily IX.
This painting is a part of my "Flower Power" collection. The beautiful water lily has different meanings in different cultures - from beauty to enlightenment, it represents emotions and ideas. The scientific name of this flower is Nymphaea. 'Nymph' is of a Greek origin and according to mythology it means a feminine spirit that inhabited water bodies like wells, waterways, and spring.
