Emerald Plate

Exhibited also at Basel Art Center (Osteuropäische Abstrakte Kunst) in 2015 and at Chateau Rothschild in Austria (Reichenau) in 2016.

This piece of art was inspired by the secret of the famous Emerald Tablet and its engraved pattern that was not to be seen by one‘s eyes but it was to be red by one’s heart. It would then reveal a message to the viewer. This painting is an outcome of my desire to create something without thinking about the outcome, without planning. I let my hands be guided by the invisible inner power. It turned out to be a stunning and very charismatic four-piece painting with every piece of them being embedded with approximately one hundred raw emeralds and thousands of little glass elements. To finish what starts so spontaneously, was necessary to place every emerald and element very carefully, mostly by tweezers and this all took almost 2 months.
